What it does
DropSnooze turns "I'll deal with this later" into a single gesture on the Mac. Drag any file, link, note, or image onto the menu-bar icon, hold for a moment, and a wheel of times springs open — Tonight, Tomorrow, 2 Hours, or a custom time. The item disappears, and when the time comes it resurfaces and opens the actual file or page, not just a reminder about it.
Task managers turn "later" into a six-step chore; drag shelves hold things but never bring them back. DropSnooze keeps the speed of a shelf and adds the return trip.
Notable details
- The menu-bar icon itself is a live drop target with spring-loading (AppKit
NSStatusItem+ custom view). - Files are never copied or moved; security-scoped bookmarks reopen the original in place, fully sandboxed.
- There is no networking code in the app. Purchases go through StoreKit, which is system-mediated.
- VoiceOver and Reduce Motion supported. Localized in English and Simplified Chinese.
